1971 Other Makes Rickman Enfield Metisse

it is likely the best surviving example in the world of the 138 originally built at the Rickman factory and currently shows only 1754 original miles. The Rickman Enfield came about when an unused lot of the last 200 Royal Enfield Interceptor II motors became available so Rickman set out to switch from selling kit bikes to complete motorcycles. Production ceased after only 138 examples. This is a piece of British motorcycle history. Their designs were quite unique, incorporating nickel plated frames and lockheed disk brakes front and rear. This example is as delivered, in 100% stock unrestored condition. Only a thorough detailed cleaning, rebuilding of brake calipers and master cylinders, new fork seals and replacement of the tires with the exact Dunlop K81 tires as were on it when new and fresh fluids and a valve adjustment was performed.
